Delivering leading-practice engagement
Our team of leading community relations and stakeholder engagement professionals has a depth and breadth of skills unsurpassed in local markets.
We have provided a range of support to clients, for a variety of engagement programs and projects, including:
Our team has provided long-term support during Public Environmental Review processes and short-term strategy advice for issues management. As Perth’s largest communications consultancy we can quickly upscale our support to respond to your project’s needs.
Purple is a corporate member of the International Association for Public Participation. Our team members are either qualified IAP2 practitioners who have completed the International Certificate in Engagement, or are currently completing the training.
Our practice always draws from the principles of engagement outlined by IAP2 and we consistently refer to the IAP2 spectrum when developing programs with clients.
In 2019 Main Roads WA and Purple’s work on the community engagement for Matagarup Bridge was recognised in the IAP2 Core Value Awards.
Our approach to stakeholder engagement and community relations on infrastructure projects focuses on the need for an integrated approach to engagement that evolves over the life of the project.
We have provided support on infrastructure projects such as Metronet, the Charles Street Busway and Matagarup Bridge, and continue to work on some of the most exciting initiatives underway in our state. We can provide short-term resourcing solutions during peak times, or provide support for the duration of multi-year projects.

The flexibility of using a corporate communications agency can be most telling when you’re managing a long-term project which requires support over longer periods, or when you quickly need to upsize your team in peak periods or as a result of extended leave.
We can provide in-house support for the duration of a project or for short periods of intense support. Our team members quickly integrate into existing teams and are skilled at becoming familiar with processes and procedures.
We also work with clients in a less intense in-house capacity as trusted strategic advisors who can be called on to support as required.
Our access to unique and emerging platforms, as well as the mixed skillset within our engagement team, means we are well placed to develop integrated digital and traditional campaigns.
We encourage clients to embrace new tools where appropriate to maximise the opportunities from their engagement process and to streamline efficiencies.
Digital tools aren’t just for public-facing engagement though. The importance of data security in the digital age is also of growing interest to many clients, so we advocate for investing in a trusted stakeholder database management tool to manage your community’s information.
Purple is a full-service communications and marketing agency, and we’re great problem solvers. Find out how we can help your voice be heard.
