Is your leadership team connecting the way they should? Or is a lack of clarity potentially costing your business opportunity and engagement?

It’s a challenging question, but Australians consistently rank the communication of their leaders as average at best. The Australian Institute of Management suggests half believe leaders need to show more empathy, while a similar proportion cite the need for authenticity. In the absence of good communication, employee retention falls, trust erodes and opportunity is lost.

We work with CEOs, directors, government spokespeople and executive leaders to develop and refine their leadership communication skills, including for presentations, working with the media and for online events, through practical on-camera training.

We help your executive leaders clarify and convey their messages, choose appropriate language for each context and frame messages with the emotional and social intelligence needed to be compelling.

Each presentation and media training program is interactive and tailored to your particular needs, sector or experience, with relevant case studies and practical scenarios.

Refining your performance

A basic company presentation can become good, and a good presentation great, through preparation, presentation and performance.
We use this framework so you can deliver a successful presentation every time — from putting yourself in the shoes of the audience to improving your body language.

We provide support in how to write or deliver a persuasive speech including structure, engagement and technique, as well as the dos and don’ts of delivery.

We also put you through your paces with on-camera interviews in our in-house production studio, specially built to accommodate presentation and media training sessions.

Our tailored training module for executives, which incorporates decades of presentation and media training experience across the Purple team, will take 3 to 4 hours and can accommodate up to 4 executives at a time (single participant course duration approximately 3 hours).

What you will get in these sessions

  • Be ready – executives learn the tools and techniques to deliver a successful presentation to internal or external stakeholders.
  • Be memorable – make your story interesting and inject life into your key messages to help increase your share of voice.
  • Be confident – gain confidence in communicating to large audiences and in difficult media interviews.
  • Be prepared – understand what makes for success in scenarios tailored to your sector, giving you the skills to a range of stakeholders and the media.
  • Be aware – understand traditional news, emerging channels and social media and build the skills to engage with journalists and other audiences.
  • Be agile – the need to respond can come at any time. Executives will be prepared to deal with a range of situations that could arise, confident they can communicate their side of the story effectively.
