Why organisations come to us for media training
Leaders come to Purple when they know the media moment is coming – and want to be ready. An interview can shape reputation in minutes, and the difference between a message that lands and one that misfires usually comes down to preparation. Many executives are articulate and capable, but unprepared for the pace, pressure, and techniques that journalists use to test messaging.
Whether preparing a first-time spokesperson, sharpening an experienced executive or equipping a larger team for unexpected encounters, we help organisations meet the media with clarity, confidence, and composure.
How we support
We offer three levels of media training, each designed for different roles, experience levels, and risk environments.
- Media Training — General is a half-day, highly practical session equipping spokespeople, board members, and executives with the techniques to deliver consistent messages under pressure. Participants work through on-camera interviews with tailored preparation, key message structuring, bridging techniques and individualised feedback.
- Media Training — Crisis Readiness is an advanced module for leaders and senior staff facing high- pressure situations. Using realistic crisis scenarios, participants develop confidence, clarity and control when managing incomplete information, rapidly changing events, and tough questioning. This module builds on the principles of general media training with a focus on fast-moving issues.
- Media Training — Frontline is a short, practical course for large teams who may encounter media unexpectedly. Participants learn to recognise reputational risk, stay calm, and respond appropriately – protecting both themselves and the organisation.
