We have been keeping a close eye on the Cambridge Analytics-Facebook data breach, and the latest twist is that the social media giant may have run foul of Australia’s tighter privacy laws. The Privacy Commissioner is now asking questions about whose data was breached, how and with what ramifications.

After the social media giant revealed more than 300,000 Australians may have had their personal data used without their knowledge, the Privacy Commissioner is launching an official investigation.
