We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with TEDxPerth, a local non-profit organisation with a mission to promote ‘ideas worth spreading’.

As many of you may know, the global TED brand is well recognised as one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations devoted to spreading ideas, whereas TEDx events signify independently organised TED events for local audiences.

Organisers of TED and TEDx events around the world are passionate believers in the transformative power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the world.

TEDxPerth is in its fifth year of operation offering a TED-like experience, and providing a platform for a selection of local speakers to share their ideas in a powerful talk up to 18 minutes in duration.

Acting Managing Director Annette Ellis said the agency was delighted to contribute to the highly anticipated TEDxPerth event as a partner.

“Purple has been a supporter of TEDxPerth since its inaugural event in 2012 and we are pleased to increase our participation in 2016 to offer the full support of our creative communication and digital teams,” said Annette.

“Our organisations share similar values – both actively encouraging creativity, collaboration and ingenuity within the workplace, with a shared desire to promote these values within the Perth community.

“We look forward to working with the talented TEDxPerth volunteer committee this year to engage a broader cross-section of the community to share more ideas worth spreading.”

Creative Director and TEDxPerth Licensee Joel Miller said the partnership provided an avenue for greater collaboration.

“Partnering with Purple allows us to collaborate with other creative thinkers to develop new and exciting ideas and expand our audience reach for the 2016 event,” said Joel.

“We’re proud of our continued growth in recent years and the ongoing support from local businesses and artistic communities who help to make the event a reality every year.

“Our aim is to ensure TEDxPerth is a beacon for all that is remarkable, challenging and thought-provoking in Perth, and to both celebrate and raise the intellectual ambition and culture of WA.”

TEDxPerth 2016 will take place on Saturday 15 October 2016 at the Perth Concert Hall. Visit the TEDxPerth website for more information or to sign up to the mailing list http://www.tedxperth.org/
